Geneva, briefly

First visit to Geneva, the city of diplomacy. I came in peace, in a pink carrier, and was seated on a terrace by the lake. Front row. The humans had coffee. A swan sailed past without saying hello. I began drafting a resolution.

At the hotel, they left a Geneva Food Guide on the bed. For me, obviously. I read it carefully, upside down, which is how serious critics read. Two hundred pages. Not one sardine. Zero stars for the guide.

In the evening the humans took me to a bar. I was the only one not drinking, so I was the designated cat. I watched a beer for an hour. It did not move. Neither did I. Respect.
Verdict: the Swiss are polite, the lake is enormous, and the swans need manners. I will be back.
