Christmas is now
The humans came home with an advent calendar. For me. Twenty-four doors, a treat behind every one, and a cat in a Santa hat on the front. The box says it is for December. I gave the humans my best face.
It worked. The humans looked at me, then at the calendar, then at me again, and said: “She’s too cute. Christmas is now.” So my advent calendar starts on 1 November. Nobody argued. Least of all me.
Door 1: open. Treats: retrieved. Doors left: 23. And for December, the humans are buying me a new one. Two advent calendars, one Christmas. This is what being cute gets you.
One calendar for November, one for December. Merry Christmas, twice.
